At Southampton Fire Company, we are 100% volunteer. We are constantly recruiting new members and would love to have you apply if you are interested!
However, we know it can be intimidating if you have never been a firefighter and don't know where to start.
Here is some basic information about the application process:
The first step is to apply on our website. There are three types of memberships you can apply for: Junior Firefighter, Firefighter, or Fire Police.
After you apply, you will meet with our Membership Review Board in person so we can learn more about you, as well as you ask any questions you may have.
Next, you will be required to have a free physical done by one of our approved organizations, as well as complete a background check.
After this, you are ready to start training with us! We host weekly trainings on Monday night at 7:30PM. All members are allowed to attend training, no matter what level they are at. New firefighters also will take classes at the Bucks County Fire Academy to complete their official firefighting certifications trainings.
